Steve McNulty Death, Obituary; Guitar/Vocals at Steve McNulty Music Steve McNulty Passed away unexpectedly.
It was sad news today that we share the passing of Steve McNulty a musican that always had a smile on face. He loved playing in Dunedin often we could see him at several different locations throughout our town. A great story teller. May he rest in peace
We lost an incredibly kind, talented, and special friend named Steve McNulty today to a very fast moving cancer that had severely quick complications. He was with his family by his side today, and his brother said a young lady came in and sung “Tennessee Whiskey” and “Calling All Angels” as he seemed to relax, and headed for heaven. Crushing for us all, but he didnt suffer too much or have a long drawn out battle.
I started playing soccer with Steve 45 years ago. He loved his family, his fans, friends, and dog Cash, and was an extremely talented musician. He was part of a long time popular band and group of friends called “The Outpatients”, and solo playing at about every venue from here to Nashville! His home was here in Dunedin and he loved everyone in town. I had never caught a ball at a ballgame, but caught two in one day with Steve, and gave him one.
I looked every week at where Steve was and Cindy and I just loved watching him effortlessly smile and play. At every single gig Steve would honor or troops and flag, and make this toast. “Heres to the goodships the woodships and the ships that sail the seas, but the best ships are the friendships and may they always be”!
This whole thing caught us all off guard, and Im sure many will be shocked, but when the family releases info on a celebration of life we will surely let everyone know and celebrate, Tim Young said via Facebook post.
From afar, just woke up to the sad news of my friend Steve McNulty passing suddenly. We shared some good musical times, and even took a couple road trips to play strum and drum duos in Savannah and Fort Myers. He gave up a lucrative career with a major hospitality corp in Tampa and decided to pursue his passion for music over a decade ago. I know he was happy. Rip Steve, another post said.
