
Robert Fryc Death; Glenview police officer killed in car crash on the way to work
Officer Robert Fryc died in an automobile accident early Sunday morning in Barrington while commuting to work. The Village of Glenview and the Glenview Police Department are in mourning for his untimely and tragic passing. The department, his fellow police, and the entire Glenview neighbourhood are all in shock over his sudden passing.
Since 2007, the 43-year-old Officer Fryc has been a cherished member of the Glenview Police Department. Throughout his 17-year career, he made a name for himself as a selfless and committed public servant who constantly put the security and welfare of the community he worked in first. Colleagues and community members alike respected and admired him for his unwavering dedication to duty, which was demonstrated in every facet of his job.
The circumstances surrounding the accident that claimed Officer Fryc’s life are still under investigation. The Barrington Police Department, along with the Major Crash Assistance Team of Lake County, is working to determine the exact cause of the crash.
