
Lily Vanderhoff Death; Recent high school grad dies in ATV-related sledding accident in Dundee, Oregon
Lily Vanderhoff Death; According to the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office, a young woman lost her life in a horrific sledding accident in rural Dundee, Oregon, on Thursday afternoon.
The woman was named by the sheriff as Lily Vanderhoff, an 18-year-old from Newberg, on Friday. According to them, she had just graduated from Newberg High School.
The sheriff’s office told KATU that Vanderhoff was being towed behind an ATV on a sledge when she crashed, however deputies are still looking into the incident. Although emergency personnel were on the scene within minutes of the collision, they declared Vanderhoff dead.
“Our thoughts continue to be with Lily’s family and friends as they navigate this very difficult time,” YCSO said. Investigators are now working to gather more information to develop a “comprehensive reconstruction of the incident.” No charges have been filed at this time.
