
Keyon Demetrius Honesty Death; Maryland State Police Investigating Fatal Shooting In Somerset County
A fatal shooting that took place in Somerset County early this morning is being looked into by Maryland State Police.
Officers from the Crisfield Police Department were called to the scene of a shooting at 1:15 in the morning in the vicinity of Third Street and Cove Street in Crisfield. When police arrived on the location, they found a man who seemed to have been shot. He was identified as Keyon Demetrius Honesty, 43, of Princess Anne, Maryland. After being taken to TidalHealth McCready Pavilion Hospital, Honesty was declared dead.
After being called in, the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit took over as the investigation’s lead. The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, Princess Anne Police Department, Pocomoke City Police Department, Somerset County State’s Attorney’s Office, and Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barrack all contributed assistance. The shooting scene was analysed by crime scene technicians from the Maryland State Police.
Between 1:10 and 1:35 in the morning, police are looking for home surveillance footage from neighbouring homes in the Somers Cove neighbourhood. We ask that anybody with footage or information about this event call Corporal Kyle Braightmeyer at 443-480-6818. The investigation is still in progress.
