Jody Ross Death, Obituary; In Loving Memory Of Jody Ross
We regret to inform you of the death of 42-year-old Jody Lynn Ross on February 6, 2025. A loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Jody’s tenacity inspired everyone she came into contact with.
Jody was a devoted daughter of Martin and Mary Theresa, a powerful sister to her brother Michael and his wife Tara, a fun-loving aunt to Duncan and Dawson, and a wonderful mother to her son, Cameron Delaney. Numerous friends as well as those who had the good fortune to meet her will also miss her terribly.
Jody, who was born on March 20, 1982, was a talented writer who loved telling stories. She studied journalism at King’s College with the goal of becoming a journalist and worked at the IWK Foundation.
Jody was a dedicated volunteer for the IWK Children’s Hospital, a special institution that played a significant role in her and her family’s life. Though illness prevented her from completing her degree and pursuing a traditional career, Jody’s love of writing never ceased.
In Jody’s words, “For all of you out there in the real world … soak it up and revel in it. You are luckier than you will ever know.”
Jody taught us the true meaning of living each day to its fullest. Her mother, Mary Theresa Ross, wants us to proudly share and honour Jody’s legacy through the Jody Appeal to continue to give hope to all the patients and families she proudly represented.
Jody has touched all our hearts, and we are all the better for being part of her incredible IWK story.
