Jessie Lee Turner Death; Victim identified in deadly hit-and-run on Old Decatur Road in Athens
On Saturday night, a hit-and-run on Old Decatur Road claimed the life of an Athens man.
On Sunday, Limestone County Coroner Mike West named the victim as Jessie Lee Turner, 37.
The incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on US 72 East and Old Decatur Road, close to the Walmart.
According to the police, the driver involved in the collision was not there when they got to the site.
The public is now being asked to assist them in locating a car that has obvious damage, particularly to the front end and the windscreen.
