
Javier Mireles Car Accident; Wrong-way driver killed in Everhart, Cedar Pass intersection accident identified
Javier Mireles Car Accident; On Wednesday, a four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Everhart Road and Cedar Pass Drive claimed the life of a wrong-way motorist.
At approximately 3:31 p.m., officers from the Corpus Christi Police Department reported that 40-year-old Javier Mireles was operating a green SUV northbound in the southbound lane of the 7200 block of Everhart Road.
After that, he struck a black truck, then a blue SUV, and in the second crash, the driver was driving in the wrong direction, and the blue SUV struck a maroon SUV.
Four kids in the blue SUV and three kids in the wrong-way driver’s car were brought to the hospital. According to police, their wounds weren’t thought to be life-threatening.
The maroon SUV’s female driver also was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The other two drivers were not injured.
The road was closed for about three hours.
