Jose Gonzalez Death, Obituary; Jose Gonzalez Passed away unexpectedly
28-year-old Lisalee Escalante Espada, mother of three minors ages 7, 9 and 11, was killed early in what police are investigating as a femicide, the third recorded this year.
According to preliminary reports, the young woman who was a neighbor of the Chalets Brisas del Mar settlement was in the front seat of a Nissan, driven by a friend. He had gone to the house where he lived with his partner 10 months ago, on the 16th street of the Jardines de Guamani settlement, where a dispute arose.
The individual allegedly shot Lisalee and hit her in the head. The friend took her to the emergency room of a hospital, where she ended up lifeless. Police were alerted from the hospital.
At about 6:00 in the morning, the agents of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC), under the command of Inspector José Torres Ruiz, had detained the suspect on San Miguel Street in the Corazón neighborhood. The individual identified as Luis David Rodríguez Vázquez, 26, who has a license to carry firearms, was taken to the CIC offices for questioning. Officers were trying to seize the gun.
Prosecutor Bethzylee Correa Velázquez, of the Specialized Unit in Domestic Violence, and agent Joseira Rivera Ortiz, are in charge of the investigation.
