Flooding in Kentucky has claimed the lives of three individuals.
Two fatalities occurred on Saturday night in Hart County due to flash flooding, with the National Weather Service in Louisville confirming their deaths after their vehicle was swept away by floodwaters around 10:30 p.m. A third fatality was reported in Clay County, where 73-year-old Donald Keith Nicholson lost his life while attempting to cross a flooded highway in Manchester.
According to officials, Nicholson exited his vehicle and was swept away by powerful floodwaters.
Multiple counties remain under flood warnings, prompting officials to advise motorists to turn around and avoid flooded areas.
