
Jacob Walsh Death; One person dead after a shooting in a Tops parking lot in Oswego County
The shooting that took place in the parking lot of Tops on Main Street in Mexico early on Saturday morning is being looked into by the New York State Police (NYSP).
Troopers were notified by 911 that there had been a brawl at the Tops parking lot at 2:54 a.m. They discovered throughout their inquiry that the suspect, who had arrived in a dark-coloured Chevrolet pickup truck, had gotten out of the vehicle and started fighting with the victim.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Jacob Walsh from Mexico, New York, was shot by the man who arrived in the pickup truck during the altercation, according to NYSP.
Troopers pronounced Walsh dead at the scene.
The guy was last seen driving the dark-coloured Chevrolet pickup truck west on Main Street after leaving the Tops. According to police, the suspect is a Caucasian man with a hunting tag on the back of a green camouflage clothing.
