
Steve Abraham Carranza Maravilla Death; Teen victim identified in deadly shooting at RTD station in Greenwood Village
The 17-year-old kid who was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon at an RTD light rail station in Greenwood Village was named by the local coroner’s office on Thursday.
On February 11, the shooting was reported at approximately 3:12 p.m. Following reports of gunfire in the 4000 block of Dallas Street, police arrived at the Dayton RTD Light Rail Station.
In order to safeguard any possible clues, police said on Wednesday that they were providing restricted information while they worked to identify the suspects in this case. Deputy Chief Dave Oliver of the Greenwood Village Police Department told Greg Nieto of FOX31 that the Dayton Light Rail Station doesn’t usually receive many calls. The region was declared “safe” on Wednesday, according to the EPA.
Three Cherry Creek School District schools that share a campus close to the Dayton station were also dismissed as a result of the incident.
