
18-Year-Old Suspect, Lewis Orlando Tejada Charged in Fatal Shooting of 16-Year-Old Haley Naive Toledo
The Houston Police Department has accused an 18-year-old male in relation to the shooting death of a 16-year-old girl in north Houston.
Lewis Orlando Tejada is accused by police of tampering with physical evidence after Hailey was shot and killed.
Three young adult men, including Tejada, a 17-year-old, and a 20-year-old were inside the car when the shooting occurred, according to the authorities. Nobody was hurt.

Tejada informed investigators that another driver had fired at their vehicle, hitting Hailey, the judge said at a probable cause hearing on Wednesday. But Tejada also allegedly said that when he and another individual were handling his own gun, it discharged.
Before police could arrive, Tejada reportedly threw his gun into a grassy area. According to officials, the gun was later discovered by investigators 30 feet from the scene of the crime.
Tejada was arrested and released on a $15,000 bond.
